Book Review #128: The Storyteller by Sana Rose

Updated: Nov 2

Author: Sana Rose

Genre: Fiction, mystery

Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5

The story is about the protagonist Zara, a young girl suffering from Post-traumatic stress disorder due to the childhood trauma and the bitter past which she is unable to forget.

When she is depressed in her love she gets an ln anonymous email from a person who wishes to know more about her and introduces himself as the storyteller. Zara reluctant at first but gradually starts responding freely to him and starts craving for the guidance the storyteller gives her on her life.

Meanwhile, she falls in love with her step-cousin through whom the tries to find out the reality of the storyteller. And her relationship with her mother is just getting bitter every day.

Who is this storyteller?

Why does he want to help Zara?

What does this chatting with a mysterious person get her life into?

Is he a stalker or a well-wisher?

The story is no doubt a page-turner. It is so captivating that I couldn't keep the book down even for a minute. The author has maintained the suspense till the end which kept me hooked throughout.

This is a story of love, betrayal, pain, depression. The author has very well narrated the effects that trauma can have on a child's life and the sufferings that come with it. The story is really good and I liked it very much.
