'Voice of the runes' is my second book from this author. I have read her book 'Final act of love' which was very good but this book made me want to read more of her books. What a thrilling read this has been. This book is sure to keep you immersed right from the start.
The story starts with Re attending the 350th-anniversary celebrations of Lund University, Sweden where he was also an alumnus of the university. During the celebrations, Professor Heinz, the head of the Runology department conspicuously succumbs to death.
Re along with Stefan, Magdalena with help from Goldberg and other police officers is determined to unravel the mystery of the death of Prof. Heinz. What follows is the thrilling and suspense-filled story and just when you think you know who the culprit is the plot change will leave you shocked. The mention of runology, runestones and it's magic and many other mythological concepts is very intriguing to read.
The story although has so many characters, never for a moment is confusing to the readers. The story is weaved in such a way that the readers are meant to be hooked to it from the beginning. I couldn't keep this book away until I finished it. The story moves very smooth and the language used is lucid. The cover pic and the title is very apt for the story. I loved this book and recommend it to everyone.
